Locked In help
up and running in 15 minutes
No code. Your live store stays untouched until you choose to publish.
- Unzip LockedIn_V1.zip on your computer.
- Open the Theme folder and pick a style: The Press, Night Run, Clay, Ice Time or the On Air podcast edition. Keep that zip zipped.
- In Shopify, go to Online Store → Themes → Add theme → Upload zip file and choose it.
- Click Customize. The theme already shows the preview’s stories, episodes, products, ads and photos as sample content.
- Open the Sample Content folder and follow the steps: import products.csv (Products → Import), create the pages and rename the News blog to Notebook.
- Add your logo, colors and content. Each section switches from sample content to yours as soon as you add it. Publish when you’re ready.
Upload the small style zip from the Theme folder, not the full download. Shopify accepts themes up to 50 MB; each style zip is about 13 MB.
what’s in the download
- Theme: five complete themes, one per style. Each opens looking exactly like its preview.
- Sample Content: products.csv for Shopify’s product import, and the setup steps.
- START HERE: the illustrated install guide, as a web page and a PDF.
- Docs: the full reference (README), settings reference, changelog, license and image credits.
- Design System: every color, type style and component, plus design tokens.
- Licenses: the open licenses for the four bundled typefaces.
make it your store
- Sample content: shows until you add your own. To hide all of it at once, go to Theme settings → Sample content.
- Menus: create a Main menu and a Footer menu in Content → Menus. Nested links become dropdowns on desktop and chips on phones.
- Stories: stories are Shopify blog posts. Write a post with a featured image, excerpt and tags; the first tag becomes the category chip.
- Pages: create pages in Online Store → Pages and pick a template on the right: partners, services, about, resume, contact or podcast.
- Brand: Theme settings → Brand, Colors and Typography. Upload a logo, or type your badge letters and wordmark.
sell and run your own ads
Every ad is yours: no ad network and no outside scripts.
- In the theme editor, Add section → Ad slot and choose the placement size.
- Click Add Ad creative and fill in the sponsor, artwork or headline, and dates.
- Paste the sponsor’s full web address (like https://sponsor.com/offer) into Sponsor link. It opens in a new tab and is marked as sponsored.
- Add more creatives to the same slot to rotate sponsors. Rotation weight sets each one’s share.
- Title sponsor: Theme settings → Ads & sponsors → Presenting partner. It shows in the top strip, story headers and footer.
- Inside stories: add an In-story ad block to the Story section and choose the paragraph it follows.
- Scheduling: set a start and end date (YYYY-MM-DD) and the ad switches on and off by itself.
- No finished art? Choose Native and the theme lays out the sponsor’s logo, headline and button in your own type and colors.
- Measuring: turn on Add UTM tags, or listen for the theme’s lockedin:ad events in your analytics.
Artwork sizes (desktop / phone): Leaderboard 1600×200 / 1080×340 · Billboard 1600×560 / 1080×1080 · Sidebar tall 600×1200 / 1080×1350 · Sidebar square 600×500 / 1080×900 · In-story tall 1360×1020 / 1080×1350 · In-story short 1360×260 / 1080×360 · Feed card 1200×900.
run your podcast
Every style includes the podcast sections; the On Air edition starts with them on the home page.
- Create a blog called Episodes (Online Store → Blog posts → Manage blogs).
- Add the episode fields once in Settings → Custom data → Blog posts: custom.episode_number, custom.duration, custom.guest, custom.audio_url, custom.embed_code and custom.video_url. All are optional.
- Publish each episode as a post. An audio file link plays in the built-in player, an embed code from your host also works, and YouTube or Vimeo links load only when someone presses play.
make it look like you
- Hero: choose what sits on the right: profile card, image, latest stories, featured product, stats, video, email signup or nothing.
- Profile card: your own image, badge letters, a generated pattern or no artwork; card and artwork colors; holographic shine and tilt on or off.
- Headline: the display font, sans, serif, mono or any Shopify font; uppercase or as typed; letter hover on or off.
- Colors and type: eight brand colors, a light or dark base, four bundled typefaces or any Shopify font.
- Products: photo cards, or cutout cards on color stages with float, tilt, spin, zoom or no hover animation.
- Motion: cursor, reveal, parallax and progress bar each have a switch, and all motion respects reduced-motion settings.
updates and your license
- One license covers one live Shopify store, plus development and staging copies of it. Each additional store needs its own license.
- Purchases include 12 months of updates. To update, upload the new zip as a new theme, then copy your settings across.
- Refunds: if the theme doesn’t work as described, email hello@productbloom.io within 72 hours of purchase. If we can’t fix it, we’ll refund you.
Questions
Which file do I upload to Shopify?
One of the zips inside the Theme folder, for example locked-in-the-press-1.0.0.zip. The full download is too big for Shopify and isn’t a theme on its own.
Why does my store show stories and products I didn’t add?
That’s the built-in sample content, so the theme looks finished right away. It disappears section by section as you add your own, or all at once in Theme settings → Sample content.
Can I switch styles later?
Yes. Theme settings → Theme style changes the colors any time, or you can upload another style’s zip as a new theme.
Can I link ads to other websites?
Yes. Paste the full web address into an ad’s Sponsor link field. It opens in a new tab.
Do I need an app to run ads?
No. Ads are built into the theme and edited in the theme editor.
Which Shopify plans does it work on?
Any plan that supports Online Store 2.0 themes, which is every current plan.
Can I use it without a blog or a shop?
Yes. Remove the sections you don’t need. Every page is built from sections.
How many stores can I use it on?
One license covers one store. Each additional store needs its own license.
Where do I find my download again?
In your Lemon Squeezy order email, or at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders.
Can ProductBloom set it up for me?
Yes. We can install it, brand it and build custom sections. Start a project and tell us what you need.
